Use the main action when needed. The duration is allocated across a short opening and recap, with the remaining guided time shared across entered goals.
Plan a 60-minute algebra session around three goals and leave time for questions and next steps.
Adjust the plan live for the learner’s pace, accessibility needs, confidence and safeguarding requirements.
A clearer answer
Enter a session length and a small set of observable learning goals. The planner allocates time to an opening check-in, each goal, guided practice and review with next steps.
The plan provides a structured starting point and a copy-ready schedule without pretending that every learner needs the same pace. The tutor remains responsible for adapting it live.
With three goals, a typical generated plan allows about six minutes for check-in, 13 minutes for each goal, nine minutes for guided practice and six minutes for review. If the check-in reveals a misconception, later blocks should be adjusted.
Method: Ten percent is reserved for opening, 65% is shared across goals, 15% supports guided practice and 10% supports review; whole-minute rounding preserves the complete duration.
Accessibility, confidence, safeguarding and the policies of the school or organisation take priority over generated timings.

Use the smallest number that can be taught and practised meaningfully in the available time. Several tightly related goals may fit; a long list usually produces shallow blocks.
