Use the main action when needed. kWh = watts ÷ 1,000 × quantity × hours per day × days × duty cycle. Energy cost is kWh × tariff; the optional standing charge is added once per day.

Ofgem's average Direct Debit electricity rate for 1 July to 30 September 2026 is 26.11p per kWh. Regional, payment-method and individual tariff rates differ, so use the figure on your bill when available.
